Michael specializes in business transformation, program leadership, and service design for large, enterprise-sized organizations. In addition to a holding a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Space Science, he recently completed a Master's degree in leadership and organizational change management, and is an experienced practitioner and facilitator for large, complex change management initiatives.
Over the last 20 years, Michael has mnaged a number of successful businesses and has been involved in numerous consulting engagements, leading multi-year IT transformational programs. He holds a Service Management Expert certification in IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Version 3, and the Service Manager certification for Version 2. Michael has experience with Agile development methods and currently serves as a solution design VP role for a Software as a Service (SaaS) company – ThinkITSM (www.thinkitsm.com). Ultimately, he enjoys working with clients that are committed to achieving complex and challenging outcomes.
Prior to formally entering the private sector in 1997, he completed a successful 10-year military career as an Air Traffic/Weapons Control officer in the Canadian Air Force. His responsibilities as a Captain in the Air Force included the project management and execution of complex NORAD training and crisis management exercises and the training, management, and standards evaluation of his fellow Air Traffic Control officers.
When not managing large programs, Michael enjoys spending time raising his five kids, sailing, and running.
